Abstract:

 

The course will focus on Mobile Security, with focus on how to code secure applications and components when working with ADF Mobile, Oracle's mobile development platform. The class will focus on designing and coding secure mobile applications - covering both the threats found in mobile environments and how to code to address those threats both within and outside of the ADF Mobile environment. The session will cover local storage, device services, privacy issues, authentication and authorization, and parsing and escaping output in various contexts. We'll also be discussing how to ensure that REST services and Web Services are coded in a secure manner.

 

 

Audience:

 

This course is targeted towards all developers that will be developing mobile applications, or services that may be used by those applications. Prerequisites: A familiarity with Web Application Security will be useful.

Eric Bing has been a developer at Oracle E-Business Suite for 23 years. In past lives he has run the Year 2000 project and built the OA Framework development platform. He is currently Senior Director of the E-Business Suite security team, and evangelist for secure coding practices at Oracle
